In 2009, Stephanie Brick co-founded the Penn State group SEED, Students for Environmentally Enlightened Design, with the vision of promoting sustainable design practices and informing students of green design opportunities and principles. Now as President Emeritus and a Penn State alumna, Stephanie continues to seek ways of promoting the mission of the group and design sustainability to students.
SEED Award of Distinction
To continue to encourage students in environmentally enlightened design, Stephanie Brick Design has established a small annual awards fund to honor a current member of SEED each spring at the departmental Awards Ceremony. The purpose of this recognition is to encourage and continue student involvement in green strategies of design. The Award will go to a student who has initiated great effort to participate in and promote sustainable design outside of the classroom, and all active SEED members will be eligible to apply.
