By career, I am a licensed architect. Though, writing has always been a passion, and to this extent, I've been writing professionally as a design expert for many years. (On the side...you can find many of my pieces through and syndicated by The Washington Post.)
But this article is the first collision of worlds for me: where my architecture career intersects my fiction writing career!
As a civilian architect, I am so happy to be with an organization that's this proud of its people. No sooner had word gotten out about the Readers' Choice Book Award gold medal than I was being interviewed and this fabulous article was written. I've always worked hard to keep my day-job and book-work separate, so this outcome was a truly unexpected and fantastic surprise.
